If you remove the sidebar the total width shrinks to the main content width
  • I wanted to remove the sidebar to not show on category pages but that reduces total width to main content width :-(

  • Similar bug here, takes only half the space, it wants to show the comments in the other 50% of the width.

  • Also, it does that to ANY page you set as the front page (when choosing Static Page)
  • @Ovidiu ah yes, because once you remove the sidebar all you have is "Main Content" you need to set that to what ever width you require, for example 930px.

  • You can remove the sidebar on specific pages and posts by selecting the full width option on the edit page in the wp-admin.

    @digibomb: thanks. I assumed main content was the main content on the page, aka the content! not the whole. anyway, still getting used to the terminology. works fine if I set main content = my total page width :-)
